National Anthem of South Africa
Adopted in 1994, the anthem is a combination of “N’kosi Sikelel’ iAfrica” (God Bless Africa) and “Die Stem van Suid Afrika” (The Call of South Africa).
They were the anthems of the non-white and white communities during the apartheid era, and the official lyrics contain a mixture of the following languages which are represented in South Africa: Xhosa, Zulu, Sesotho, Afrikaans and English.
